I happened upon an old photograph of a Bill Board with a group of images pinned to it, the caption indicated they were pictures of “Winners” of Beauty Contests in small Towns. They were selected to compete for a chance to realize their imaginings of success in Hollywood. Enlarged and re-printed from Paper negatives they now become icons of lost youth and aspiration. They tell a new story of youthful dreams unrealized and vanished desires.
