“Sex 70’s” series 2
The instant photograph (SX-70) gives veracity to the implied completion of an inferred fantasy. The participant (viewer) acts out the fantasy and is photographically caught. This dislocation between realities heightens the tension of this conundrum. The fabricated act is used to optically accentuate the palpable and hedonistic qualities of both the content and the instrument of aesthetic creation.
