“Cliche? very” series
Cliché very” ,as the title implies, manifests visually obvious mental exercise and amusement. By juxtaposing SX-70 Polaroids (the quintessential instant gratification process) of subject matter referencing what is not viewable, another cyclic fantasy is created. Layered photographic realities construct new references and experience, flirtatiously playing with complications and contradictions filled with transient tension. The title is also a play on the term for an old Photographic process entitled “Cliché verre”.
