“Old Bags and Old Sacks” series

Commercialization and exploitation of sexual practice and the immediate availability of related imagery at checkout stands and retail establishments satirized in the “Old Sacks” and “Old Bags” imagery represent an important and seminal shift in my Artistic practice both in terms of technique and style. The pun of the titles is intended and purposeful as is the printing of the images on Shopping Bags. The abrupt break from traditional Photographic representation, to the use of societal images sourced from commercial media, merged with an intuitive gestural aesthetic, initiated an entirely new direction in my Art.
