“This work signifies my resolve to aggravate, to exemplify and arouse the emotions of my audience. This interest was based on my acute sensibility to specific aspects of female and male roles subliminally depicted in societal images. The emotional aspects and relationships that are subdued and illusive in the original are isolated and charged with obvious energy in the final pieces. These images then exist as my thoughts existed, fragmented, intense, quick, a contemporary method of perception and discovery. The interaction of photographic realism and seductive gestural marks is equivalent to an intense moment or portion of a moment, clear and yet unclear, as in a fervent memory”.
